Favorite thing about FIT4MOM: I love having a community of sweet, supportive, non-judgmental moms to spend my time with.
When did you join FIT4MOM? I only joined FIT4MOM in August but feel like I have watched the many little ones grow for so much longer.
What is your current job? Or what did you do before staying at home? Before I had Camillo I worked as both a photographer and a nanny. Kids and art have always been my passion.
What is your favorite food? Avocado, Italian food,Chinese food. When I'm pregnant pretty much anything.
What is your favorite beverage? I have a slight addiction to sparkling water.
What is your favorite movie? Uncle Buck. I watched that movie at least once a week growing up.
What is your favorite book? The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls.
What is one thing that people might not know about you? I may have gone to live in Italy for 5 years but I have a horrible fear of flying.
You are given four free hours of babysitting, what would you do? Read a book or watch a movie. Basically do nothing but enjoy a clean house. I usually spend my kid-free time cleaning or doing projects around the house and don't get much time to relax.
What is your dream kid free vacation? I have always wanted to spend a week at a resort and spa that offers fitness classes so I can spend my morning working out and getting sore and my afternoons getting pampered.
What is your dream family vacation? My husband and I used to spend two weeks in late summer early fall in Switzerland every year, hiking and enjoying all the outdoor activities. We can't wait until our next trip.
How has becoming a mother changed you? I am much more peaceful. I try much harder to find the best in everyone and their actions.
I'm happiest when....(fill in the blank) I am with my family .
What are three things you wish you could go back and tell yourself before having children?
1.Stop worrying what other people think of you!
2.You look fine, put the bathing suit on!
3. All of these memories you are making will mean so much more once you have kids so just have them already!
Fondest childhood memory: I grew up with an older brother and sister and a neighborhood full of kids, I have nothing but great memories of being outside playing all day. I can't wait for Camillo and his brother to have these memories of their own.
Your favorite "go to" family friendly recipe?
Steam or boil some broccoli to 3/4 cooked. Chop into fine pieces then toss into a pan with olive oil and a clove of chopped garlic (red pepper flakes and white wine are optional). Allow the broccoli to finish cooking as you cook some pasta (farfalle or orecchiette are my favorite with this dish). Add salt and pepper to taste and a bit of the pasta water into the broccoli, toss together and top with parmesan cheese and enjoy.
